OJOKORO COUNCIL BOSS SWEARS IN SLG, SUPERVISORS, CHARGES APPOINTEES ON EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY 

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, on Friday 6th March,  swore in the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) and twelve Supervisory Councillors, urging them to work in unity and contribute their experience toward advancing development in the council area.

Speaking during the ceremony held at the council secretariat, the chairman described the swearing-in as a significant step in strengthening the administration’s governance structure.

She emphasized that effective leadership requires teamwork, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service.

Hon. Rosiji congratulated the appointees and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working diligently for the benefit of the people.

“Your appointments are positions of service and responsibility. I urge you to bring your wealth of experience to bear and work together in unity of purpose so that we can deliver on our mandate to the people of Ojokoro,” she said.

She assured residents that with the government now fully constituted, the council would intensify the implementation of developmental and people-centered programmes across the LCDA.


Mrs. Florence Campbell Lawal was sworn in as the Secretary to the Local Government, while twelve Supervisory Councillors also took the oath of office.

In his remarks, former member of the House of Representatives, James Owolabi, congratulated the appointees and urged them to cooperate with the chairman and discharge their duties diligently so that the people would be proud of their service at the end of their tenure.

The event was attended by several dignitaries including Emmanuel Olotu representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II; APC Chairman in Ojokoro, Jelili Oseni; former council chairman HID Tijani; former APC Chairman Adewale Bello; APC chieftains Walnut Ipaye and Alhaja Adefolabi; as well as the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Usman Ipaye, and other councillors.



Delivering the vote of thanks, the Council Manager, Mrs. Akinola Mojisola, appreciated the dignitaries for their presence and congratulated the newly sworn-in officials, wishing them success in their offices.
