OJOKORO LCDA CHAIRMAN, HON. ROSIJI, LAUNCHES ₦100M RELIEF PACKAGE
In a grand ceremony held at the council secretariat, Hon. Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, has launched a ₦100 million relief and empowerment package for residents, marking 100 days in office.
The package, designed to cushion the effects of economic hardship, includes ₦100,000 cash support for carefully selected beneficiaries across the seven wards of the LCDA. Additionally, 150 graduates of the Council's School of Vocational Studies received cash empowerment to kickstart their trades.
In her address, Hon. Rosiji emphasized her administration's commitment to prioritizing residents' welfare, stating, "We understand that the economy is biting hard on families, and as a government that listens and cares, we have designed this ₦100 Million Relief Package to provide direct financial assistance."
Hon. Rosiji also flagged off an Immunization Campaign at the Iwa Primary Health Centre, urging parents to vaccinate their children aged 0-5. This initiative is part of the State Government's effort to prevent and eradicate viral diseases.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including Hon. James Owolabi, former Member of the House of Representatives, who praised Hon. Rosiji's leadership and commitment to service delivery. Council Manager, Mrs. Akinola Mojisola, commended Hon. Rosiji's achievements, describing her as a passionate and result-oriented leader.
CDC Chairman, Barr. Alabi, represented by Vice Chairman, Alhaji Ismail Adeyemi, lauded the administration's empowerment initiative, urging beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely.
The ₦100 million relief package is part of the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to build a productive and prosperous Ojokoro. Hon. Rosiji assured residents that this is just the beginning of inclusive governance and people-oriented programmes in Ojokoro LCDA.
