In a bid to strengthen ties between Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the Local Government Inspector (LGI), Mrs. Ogunjimi Bukola, on Monday, September 22, 2025, led a delegation of corps members on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji.

Welcoming the LGI and corps members, Hon. Rosiji commended them for their dedication and contributions to community development. She described corps members as a vital force that brings “energy, fresh ideas, and a spirit of service” to the council area.

Addressing the corps members, she urged them to remain good ambassadors of the NYSC and to always conduct themselves with discipline, respect, and responsibility. “Be disciplined, respectful, and responsible,” she stressed. “These qualities will not only earn you respect but also build your personal character and career prospects.”

She further advised them to be mindful of the company they keep, reminding them that their associations could shape their values and decisions. Additionally, she encouraged strict adherence to council protocols to ensure smooth working relationships and efficient service delivery.

In appreciation, Mrs. Ogunjimi presented a customized souvenir to the Chairman on behalf of the corps members, as a token of goodwill and recognition of her support for the scheme.

The LGI also expressed gratitude for the warm reception and thoughtful counsel, assuring that the corps members would heed the Chairman’s advice and continue to contribute meaningfully during their service year.

The visit ended on a positive note, with corps members pledging renewed commitment to serve diligently in Ojokoro LCDA.
