OJOKORO LCDA CHAIRMAN PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR CAN AT 19TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, has reaffirmed her administration's unwavering commitment to supporting the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ojokoro LCDA Chapter. She gave this assurance through the Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle, who represented her at the 19th Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service of CAN, held at Olorunsogo Baptist Church, Ojokoro.
The event, which was themed "Hallelujah," was presided over by the Chairman of CAN, Ojokoro LCDA Chapter, Pastor (Dr.) Clement Gbenga Coker. It brought together several clergy members, dignitaries, and residents in a vibrant atmosphere of praise, worship, and thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness over the years.
Speaking on behalf of the Council Chairman, Hon. Oyekunle expressed profound gratitude to CAN for their overwhelming support during the recently concluded local government elections. He assured the association that the administration would continue to prioritize their welfare and partner with them on initiatives that foster unity, spiritual growth, and community development within Ojokoro LCDA. He said, "The Christian Association of Nigeria has been a pillar of support to this administration, and we remain committed to deepening this relationship. I want to assure you that the subsequent CAN executives will continue to enjoy the same level of support, if not more, as has been extended to the current leadership."
During the event, Pastor (Dr.) Clement Gbenga Coker, Chairman of CAN, Ojokoro Chapter, appealed for sponsorship of members for Christian pilgrimages. In response, Hon. Oyekunle pledged to deliver the request to the Executive Chairman, emphasizing the administration's dedication to promoting spiritual enrichment within the community.
The highlight of the celebration was the sermon delivered by the Guest Speaker, Evangelist Tunde Aluko, who took his text from Revelation 19:1. Evangelist Aluko expounded on the theme of the anniversary, "Hallelujah," emphasizing the importance of gratitude and unwavering faith in God, regardless of life's challenges. He urged attendees to see the theme as a call to worship and a reminder of God's sovereignty and faithfulness.
The 19th Anniversary was a vibrant and colorful event, filled with heartfelt praises, soul-stirring worship, and energetic dances, as attendees expressed their gratitude to God for His blessings upon the association and the Ojokoro community. The atmosphere was electrifying, with reverend ministers, church leaders, and members of the congregation uniting in one voice to glorify God.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, clergy, and community leaders, highlighting the unity and cooperation between the religious body and the local government. The Council Chairman, through her representative, acknowledged the critical role CAN plays in fostering peace, spiritual growth, and community development in Ojokoro LCDA. Hon. Rosiji also used the occasion to encourage CAN to continue its good work of promoting unity and moral values in the community while assuring them of her administration's readiness to support their initiatives.
