 AGBAJE FLAGS OFF SEVEN STRATEGIC ROADS TO BOOST COMMERCE AND CONNECTIVITY

In a landmark infrastructure initiative, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Lagos Nigera, Hon. Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, officially flagged off the construction of seven strategic roads on Monday, August 18, 2025. The ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, marks a significant step toward improving mobility, enhancing security, and stimulating economic growth within the council area.

Addressing attendees, Hon. Agbaje emphasized the transformative impact of road infrastructure on community development. “Roads are the lifelines of any community. They provide mobility, enhance access to businesses and markets, improve security, promote socio-economic growth, and make life easier for our people. This is why infrastructure remains one of our top priorities,” he stated.

The seven roads slated for construction are:

- Owonikoko Street – 430 meters

Victor Street, Ipaja – 88 meters

-Igbogila Street, Ipaja – 160 meters

-Akinola Market Road, Ipaja – 400 meters

-Aduloju Street, Baruwa – 198 meters

-Koloba/Unity Road, Bada – 400 meters

-Baale Road, Ayobo – 107 meters

These roads were selected based on community needs, traffic flow, and their potential to drive economic activity. Each project will feature durable surfacing and proper drainage systems to ensure sustainability and long-term value. 

The Chairman also called for community involvement in the projects, appealing to residents to support contractors, cooperate with temporary diversions during construction, and adopt a culture of road maintenance. He expressed gratitude to the LCDA’s Legislative Arm, political leaders, traditional rulers, religious organizations, community stakeholders, the Community Development Committee (CDC), and the press for their unwavering support in the council’s development efforts.

Hon. Agbaje reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through purposeful governance. “We have promised, and we are making it happen. With your continuous support and collaboration, we will deliver even beyond expectations,” he concluded.
